If you’re looking for the right fit, check out our full engine mounts collection to explore each option and find what best suits your BMW's needs.
For drivers who demand more from their vehicle, UHMW (solid) engine mounts provide a solution that goes beyond standard factory mounts. Unlike traditional rubber mounts, which allow significant engine movement under hard braking, cornering, and acceleration, these solid mounts keep everything locked in place. By stiffening the drivetrain’s connection to the chassis, these mounts reduce unwanted flex, ensuring a steady, responsive driving experience whether you're on the street or the track.
Crafted from a solid piece of UHMW, these mounts won’t wear down or separate over time, offering both durability and performance. You’ll experience less engine movement and enhanced responsiveness, giving you the confidence to push your BMW to its limits without the drawbacks of excessive vibration seen with other solid mounts. Versatile enough for street use yet robust enough for track conditions, these solid engine mounts offer the perfect blend of reliability and performance.
Watch our installation guide below to see how to replace your engine mounts quickly and effectively, ensuring a secure fit and maximum performance.
When it comes to performance and reliability, Condor Speed Shop stands out with high-quality products engineered to take your BMW to the next level. Here’s why our engine mounts are the top choice:
Choose Condor Speed Shop for a difference in quality, performance, and reliability that you’ll feel on every drive.
What do I torque the engine mounts to?
Our solid engine mounts should be torqued to 8-10 ft. lbs. This setting ensures a secure fit that prevents unnecessary engine movement.
What do I torque the transmission mounts to?
Torque your solid transmission mounts to 8-10 ft. lbs. for optimal performance, keeping your transmission secure during hard cornering and acceleration.
What do I torque the UHMW power steering delete to?
Approximately 15 ft. lbs. provides the best balance for stability and durability in your UHMW setup.
Do you sell transmission mounts?
Yes, we offer the same 3 types of transmission mounts designed to complement our engine mounts. With a combination of new UHMW mounts, you will gain complete drivetrain stability.
Do UHMW engine mounts cause any additional vibration?
Yes, solid motor mounts like UHMW do lead to a slight increase in vibration compared to factory rubber mounts. However, this trade-off provides superior handling, stability, and reduced flex for enhanced performance you cannot get from stock rubber mounts.
What’s the difference between UHMW and solid aluminum mounts?
UHMW mounts offer a solid connection with slightly reduced vibration, ideal for versatile street and track use. Solid aluminum mounts, found in our Armageddon Collection, deliver ultimate rigidity, making them a top choice for extreme track conditions where performance is the priority.
What torque should I use for the wheel stud and nut kits?
Torque the stud to 25 ft/lbs. or hand-tight with medium thread lock is ideal. Torque M12 nut to factory specs or 90 ft/lbs. For M14 17mm nuts torque to factory specs or 105 ft/lbs. For M14 19mm nuts, torque to factory specs or 110 ft/lbs.
Can I use solid engine mounts on a street car?
Absolutely! Our UHMW solid mounts (Classic collection) are versatile enough for street use, providing enhanced engine stability with minimal added vibration. They’re ideal for drivers who want a firmer feel without the excessive vibration often associated with solid aluminum mounts.
