Condor Speed Shop BMW E46 control arm bushings are designed in two pieces; A UHMW bushing that presses into the stock BMW E46 carriers, and a special sleeve insert with a hexagonal cut-out. This sleeve insert is designed to fit over the hexagonal end on the E46 control arms. When installed, this sleeve will rotate with the control arm within the self-lubricated UHMW bushing. This solution allows for a very smooth control arm movement. These control arm bushings are offset, adding 3/4 degree of positive caster on each side!

These offset CABs are designed to fit all BMW E46 except Xdrive Wagon and BMW E46 M3 (1998-2007) We suggest you measure the size of the Hex on your control arm before ordering. Choose 21mm or 23mm in the drop-down.

The following Meyle and Lemforder arms require our 21MM Hex:

  • LEMFORDER ZHP - 31 12 2 282 121 & 31 12 2 282 122

  • LEMFORDER - 31 12 6 777 851 & 31 12 6 777 852

  • MEYLE HD - 31 12 6 777 851 & 31 12 6 777 852

Meyle makes a standard e46 control arm and a heavy-duty control arm. Most HD arms have a 23MM hex. CABs can be pressed into new carriers by clicking here after adding these bushings to your cart. Not looking for offset? Check out our classic centered version!

Get Rid of Flex & Suspension Geometry Absorption with Condor Speed Shop Control Arm Bushings

Get Rid of Flex & Suspension Geometry Absorption with Condor Speed Shop Control Arm Bushings

OEM E46 rubber control arm bushings were designed for comfort, allowing for flex and energy absorption. While this is ideal for a smooth ride on a daily street car, it compromises handling precision and alignment under performance conditions. As these rubber bushings age, they become even softer, resulting in increased suspension movement and reduced control.

By upgrading to Condor Speed Shop's UHMW control arm bushings, you eliminate that unwanted flex and suspension geometry absorption. These bushings provide a much more rigid connection between the control arm and the chassis, keeping your suspension geometry consistent, especially during hard cornering or high-speed driving. This upgrade translates to sharper handling, better feedback, and improved stability, giving you greater confidence whether you're on the track.

Centered vs. Offset E46 Control Arm Bushings

Centered vs. Offset E46 Control Arm Bushings

When deciding between centered and offset control arm bushings, it’s important to consider your driving goals.

Centered Bushings: Our centered E46 control arm bushings are great for maintaining factory geometry, making them ideal for daily drivers or those looking to preserve original handling characteristics. Centered bushings provide solid performance gains without altering your E46’s suspension geometry, reducing flex for more responsive handling.

Offset Bushings: For performance enthusiasts, offset bushings shift the control arm forward, increasing caster for better high-speed stability and enhanced cornering grip. The added caster angle improves steering response, making offset bushings a popular choice for track-focused builds or dual-purpose cars.

To summarize… choose centered for OEM geometry or offset for increased caster. Both will improve performance and add sharper, track-ready handling.

Why Upgrade to Condor Speed Shop Control Arm Bushings?

Why Upgrade to Condor Speed Shop Control Arm Bushings?

Upgrading to Condor Speed Shop's control arm bushings ensures unmatched performance and longevity. Unlike the OEM rubber bushings, which are prone to flex and wear, our bushings are machined from UHMW, providing a rigid and durable solution. UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) is a type of thermoplastic polyethylene and is basically an extremely tough plastic. The chemical links that hold it together are much stronger than polyurethane. It is lightweight but still very strong and resistant to wear, making it the ideal material for use in BMW suspension parts. It is a self-lubricating material that does not squeak like polyurethane. It minimizes suspension deflection and delivers consistent handling and precise alignment.

Designed by BMW enthusiasts, our bushings offer a significant performance upgrade without sacrificing drivability. Whether you're daily driving or racing, these bushings provide a smoother, more controlled experience, helping you get the most out of your E46.
